UK success at Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup
Team Blue Blood based in Nottingham (UK) took numerous titles in the Senior Light Contact categories at the Hungarian World Cup, part of the WAKO World Series of events.
Will Taylor struck Gold in the -57KG continuous section, whilst his teammate Fin Heesom doubled up for Blue Blood taking 1st place in the -63KG. The midlands based fighters progressing to victory with wins over Slovenian Alen Preloznik and Botond Rosza from Ireland respectively.
Briton Elijah Everill, representing Team All Stars (USA) claimed triple Gold, reigning supreme in -69KG points fighting and continuous, along with -79KG points fighting. Elijah took his medal tally to 4 with an impressive Bronze in the Grand Champion event, which was eventually won by Austrian Roman Brundl.
UK Based Team Blue Blood also went on to take victory in the -74KG Light Contact team event. Winning Gold with an eye catching defeat of home favourites Kiraly Team Kickboxing Academy.
Some fantastic results for British martial arts, most notably of course the TRIPLE gold for Elijah Everill. Elsewhere, martialarts-online interviewee Roland 'Royal' Veres managed to take Gold in his weight division and silver in the grand championship.
