Bronze delight in Budapest for GB Judo

It was Bronze delight for GB Judo at the 2018 Budapest Grand Prix in Hungary. Sally Conway, Natalie Powell and Chelsie Giles each claimed a bronze medal to make it it three in total for Team GB.
Natalie Powell claimed her 10th Grand Prix medal by defeating fellow brit Jemima Yeats-Brown. It is her fourth medal so far in 2018.
Sally Conway added to GB's haul with an excellent day of judo on the mat in the -70kg competition, defeating a number of higher ranked opponents .
World No.7 Assmaa Nianga was defeated in the Bronze medal contest, while there were notable wins over Australia’s Aoife Coughlan and Russia’s Alena Propkopenko.
Finally, Coventry judoka Chelsie Giles won a final third place with an accomplished victory over experienced Andreea Chitu from Romania.
Giles told GB Judo -
“I feel like this is the best I have performed in competition. The new techniques I have been working on in training are now paying dividends and to come away with a medal, I am so happy!”
