Elijah Everill recently remarked he wanted to continue his winning streak for the entire year. He certainly carried on where he left off in Italy by claiming another clean sweep of titles, this time at the Athens Challenge.
In a remarkable year so far, Elijah has now added another 4 titles, across Points Fighting and Light Contact at multiple weights.
Perhaps most impressive is that once again, Elijah managed to take the coveted open weight crown, defeating Anatoli Kuschnir from Germany in the final.
Another German fighter was put to the sword in the -74kg points fighting final, this time Timmy Sarantoudis was runner up.
Moving up to the -79kg division, Italian Gregorio Amboldi was dispatched by Everill who was once again showing red hot form.
In the Light Contact discipline, the team Allstars member rounded off his medal haul by beating Eleftherosis Iliakis from Greece.
On his latest success, Elijah said -
"l was honoured to be sharing the podium with some of the best fighters in the world in Toli Kuschnir, Roland Veres and Davide Colla.
"I couldn’t be any happier with the result."
Next in his sights, the world famous Irish Open. He continued -
"Now it’s time to get back home and into the gym to prepare for the worlds largest tournament, the Irish Open."
Marcin Mazur from Team Kode red added further to the GB medal count, he bested Michail Vellis from Greece in the -89kg Light Contact, whilst also taking a bronze in the Points Fighting category at the same weight.
