Wing Chun victories for British fighters in Hong Kong

November 8, 2019

Luke Blackwell and Josh Claybourn from the Rob Ley Academy in Cornwall took part in the SEA Invitational Tournament in Hong Kong to both come away with impressive victories.

On October 10th, the two Ving Tsun students and their Sifu traveled from Cornwall to Hong Kong to participate in the tournament organised by the Hong Kong Fighting Union. The Tournament sees martial artists from many different styles come together to compete.

Luke Blackwell took part in the 72kg category taking first place, along with his class mate Josh Claybourn, who was victorious in the 85kg weight division.

All the more impressive is that this was the first competition the pair have been involved in. They both came away with convincing wins and having gained some invaluable experience in the ring.
