The coach partly responsible for the success of World and Olympic champions such as Jade Jones and Bianca Walkden has left her role at GB Taekwondo.

South Korean high performance Taekwondo coach Jinmi Choi has also been instrumental in the growth of two time European champion Lauren Williams, and junior world medalists Rachelle Booth and Rebecca McGowan.

Performance Director Gary Hall said: “I would very much like to thank Jinmi for all her hard work and commitment to all the athletes, to the programme and for all the knowledge she has given during her time with us.

At GB Taekwondo, we have a fantastic team of experienced coaches and support staff and are confident, moving forward, of further success on our journey to the Tokyo Games.”

It has been confirmed that Choi has moved back to South Korea for family reasons.
