Leon Gold lived up to his name at the 31st FSK (Freestyle Karate & Kickboxing) Open Grand Championships by claiming a Gold medal in the Men's -75kg Light Contact division.
World Champion Leon defeated Bronze medalist Luke Smith in the semi final, before edging an extremely close final contest with Sam Spencer.
The unified points fighting title was won by Daniel Balch, with Lewis Gemmill taking silver. Third place and the bronze medal went to Leon Gold.
In the +35yrs category, Sam Lund came out on top, defeating Stuart Wooton in the Gold medal contest to take the title.
Darren Bevis is the new +42yrs unified champion after beating Trevor Felix in the final. Glen Whiting was the Bronze medalist.
Leanne Jones claimed Gold in the Ladies Points Fighting division.
The FSK Open Grand Championships is one of the longest running kickboxing tournaments in the UK. Now in it's 31st year, the competition is run by the World Kickboxing Council (WKC) and held at the George H Carnall Sports Centre in Manchester.
