GB Grand Champion 1,2 at the Hungarian World Cup

June 5, 2019

There was success for GB fighters at the Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup in Budapest last month. Particularly the spectacular 1,2 finish for Elijah Everill and Chris Aston in the Mens Grand Championship.

The British pair made their way through an illustrious field to make it an all English Grand Champion final, with Allstar Elijah Everill coming out on top to take yet another title.

Rising star Cory Cook added a silver medal in the -69KG category, eventually losing out to Dominik Meyer from Germany.

Grand Champion and Team Allstar Eiljah Everill is currently the leading light of British Kickboxing and added two more titles to his mesmerising 2019 total. He claimed Gold in both the -74KG and -79KG divisions, taking out Slovenian Tilen Zajc and Italian Roberto Guiducci respectively.

His Grand Champion runner up Chris Aston lost out in the semi finals of the -94KG, taking bronze after succumbing to German fighter Toli Kuschnir. He did strike Gold though in the heavyweight +94KG category, taking the final over Hungarian Peter Csikos

Stephanie Killick was representing the females by claiming -50KG Bronze. Whilst in the Light Contact sections, Marcin Mazur claimed an -89KG Bronze and an -94KG Gold. He defeated home fighter Bolivar Szachan in the heavyweight final.
