Heavyweight Kickboxing star Chris Aston had a mightily successful trip to Germany to take part in the WAKO Kickboxing 'Heroes of Hamburg event last weekend.
Fresh from his Austrian Classics title win, Chris achieved some of his best tournament results for some time, taking an impressive three Golds including the prestigious Grand Champion title.
Continuing his usual fine form, Chris claimed Gold in both the -94kg and +94kg heavyweight sections. He came out best over German Thore Langfeldt in under 94kg, before going on to beat Mehmet Gundogdu in the final of the over 94kg.
Chris progressed through the illustrious Grand Champion final by beating Robert Cuffe from Ireland followed by Carvin Burke from Holland.
The Grand Final was against Irish -69kg champion Jay Daniels, with an extremely close contest eventually going the way of the Team GB fighter 17 points to Daniels' 16.
