Remembering Daz Ellis - Karate and Kickboxing World Champion

March 7, 2018

Former Kickboxing and Karate World Champion Daz Ellis unfortunately passed away earlier this month and everyone at Martial Arts Online would like to express their sadness and condolences to his family and friends.

Daz was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2016 and had continued to teach martial arts at his NSKA (National Sport Karate Association http://www.nska.co.uk/) club.

A black belt 6th Dan, Daz trained in Martial Arts for over 30 years and holds Dan grades in both Traditional Shukokai Karate and Freestyle Karate, of which he held British, European and World titles.

He started training in 1981 and opened the National Sport Karate Association in 1995, gained multiple World Titles in both Karate and Kickboxing.

Even when well into his 40's, Daz was considered one of the best freestyle kickboxing (points) fighters in the country.

Rest in Peace.
