GB's Jade Jones wins World Grand Prix

24 year old Welsh fighter Jade Jones has added to her ever growing list of honours after claiming a successive World Tae Kwon Do Grand Prix title in the Ivory Coast.

 

The double Olympic champion defeated her Spanish opponent Marta Calvo-Gomez 26-7 in the competition finale. Furthermore, she is set to end the year as World number one in her category.

 

Jones' team mate Bianca Walkden was also amongst the gold medals. Soundly beating Da-Bin Lee 16-9 in the +67kg final.

 

Both fighters will now look forward to World Taekwondo's Grand Slam event in China, with over £50k in prize money availabel to the winners!
